Inspiration

This month’s featured poem is The Serpent Ring by Selwyn Morgan. The poem appears at the beginning of his novel Going Up Camborne Hill. The book follows Cornish emigrants who carried their mining expertise, engineering skills, and rich cultural traditions across the globe—a journey the poem reflects. Selwyn has been a member of Somewhere Else for 12 years and credits members with providing the support and inspiration he needed to finish the family saga.
